Yes I'm talking about heartburn, one of the many pleasures of pregnancy.
Heartburn can be common for expectant mummys due to the hormonal changes your body is going through
Plus your ever growing baby putting pressure on your stomach as they take up more space.
Certain foods, such as greasy or fatty foods can make heartburn worseđđ„
Many of you will probably of heard of the old wives tail claiming heartburn can lead to thicker hair when your baby is born.đ©đ»âđŠ±đ§đœâđŠ±
So how do you survive pregnancy heartburn?đ€
As ravenous as you may feel, try not to over eat. Small meals are better and try to eat and drink healthily if you can.đ
Sitting up right after meals, reduces stomach acid from travelling back up.đ€ą
Grab that dairy! This can help soothe heartburn so enjoy a glass of milk to relieve the burn.đ„đ„đ„
Exercise! Gentle exercise, such as pregnancy yoga where your arms are above your head and your chest is open are great for easing heartburn, giving you more space.đđ»ââïž
Remember, if your really struggling, go see your GP. Your entitled to free prescriptions whilst pregnant so they can prescribe you something like gaviscon(it's usually a giant bottle too!)đ©ââïž
